(06.22.03) Dr. Phillips Athletic Director John Magrino said Rich had 98 letters sent to him in one day, in care of basketball Coach Anthony Long. For Rich to receive 98 letters in one day is no big deal, Magrino said. But all 98 were from USC. "All were postmarked on the same day, and all were different," Magrino said. "This is a new plateau for USC. Previously, they mailed a high of 29 in one day."
Rich, who had been considering about 20 schools, narrowed the field to eight Saturday as schools could begin making
phone contact. He is also considering Florida, Georgia Tech, Texas, Kentucky, Kansas, Connecticut and Indiana.
"Every one of those has offered him (scholarships) except for Kentucky," Dr.Phillips coach Anthony Long said.
Rich averaged 22.8 points as a junior last season, breaking Damien Wilkins' school record. He also collected
6.1 rebounds and 3.0 assists per game to earn a spot on the Class6A first team.

Rich averaged 22.8 points last season. FSU is among more than two dozen schools in the chase for the 6-4 shooting guard.
He plans to narrow the field before the flood of calls from coaches can begin on June 21.
"He's very explosive and athletic," Dr. Phillips coach Anthony Long said. "He has a great mid-range game, which you

(03.17.03) "Cincinnati has somewhat moved down because of the year they've had," Rich said. "But I still respect Bob Huggins and the program. I've had a chance to go around Florida and I think they have a good program."
Rich also mentioned that Texas, Oklahoma, Kentucky and UConn pique his interest. "Right now I can't honestly say where I want to go," said Rich, who has a 3.0 GPA.

(03.10.03) Rich averaged 23 points, seven rebounds and four assists for the season.
(07.08.02) He was great at the Hoop Jamboree and he's starting to feel it here. The versatile and ultra-athletic Rich can play on the perimeter but is doubly dangerous when he dives to the blocks where he's comfortable shooting fadeaway jumpers right over defenders.
