Kansas adds late 2003 signee

While many programs wrapped up their recruiting efforts after Signing Day, the Kansas Jayhawks remained on the road in search for immediate defensive back help. With the news that an impact JUCO cornerback was non-qualified this summer; the search became even more important. It resulted in the signing of Rodney Fowler of Pasadena J.C

The Jayhawks will undoubtedly be looking for immeidate help in their secondary from their 2003 signing class, and that stance was upgraded with the addition of Pasandena JC cornerback Rodney Fowler.

Fowler, 5'11", 175, will enter the program as a sophmore but with only three years to play. He played as a freshman this past fall at Pasadena alongside KU signee Chuck Jones. Fowler was also recruited by programs such as Washington and Arizona.

With the addition of Fowler, the Jayhawks also experienced a setback with the subtraction of JUCO signee Markeith Childress. One of the biggest 2003 signees, Childress was not able to qualify.

For the Jayhawks, they will have to hope that subtraction results in a very good addition.
