The Kansas Jayhawks scored a huge recruiting victory Saturday, as City College of San Francisco defensive end, Chris Martin has committed to coach Charlie Weis and the Jayhawks.

Martin brings tremendous athletic ability to the Jayhawks defense and continues the already stellar week of recruiting at Kansas.

The 6-5 250 pound defensive end is a former Army All-American. He chooses Kansas over an impressive list of schools, including Washington State, Nebraska, Pittsburgh, San Diego State and Syracuse.

Martin made a verbal commitment to play for Notre Dame out of high school, before signing with California. He then transferred to Florida before playing a down at Cal. He then left Florida after a year and went to Navarro Community College for the 2011 season, before playing this past season at City College of San Francisco.

One look at Martin on tape and it's no wonder why fans have to be giddy at the prospect of Martin wearing a Jayhawk uniform.
