East St. Louis (Ill.) sophomore defensive end Terry Beckner has two offers and is in line for many more, as he may be one of the best in his state for that class.
East St. Louis has a loaded squad coming back, and it should have several of the top sophomore prospects in the state, including 6'4, 270-lb defensive lineman Terry Beckner
, who already has two offers to his name.
"Missouri and Kansas both offered me," he said. "I was surprised that I got my first two offers. I have not visited yet, but I plan on going to visit."
Beckner had a big sophomore year, and his talent is evident on film. Part of that success came from playing varsity as a freshman and getting experience.
"I played tight end on varsity as a freshman. It was tough, but I adjusted to it, got in the weight room and got stronger."
Over the next few years, there is little doubt that schools from across the country will be recruiting this talented youngster, but for right now, most of the attention comes from the Midwest.
"I've heard from some more schools, but they haven't offered me yet. Michigan, Illinois, those are the other two."
The school he hopes to hear more from though, is from way out West.
"USC is my favorite college."
