Boateng Sets Official Visit

Cornerback Matthew Boateng has an offer from Kansas and has reciprocated the interest back to the Jayhawks' coaches. He has set an official visit to see Kansas in the middle of November.

Bradenton (FL) IMG Academy cornerback Matthew Boateng is a prospect to watch during his senior season. He has added new offers from Kansas, Buffalo, Bowling Green, and Marshall while also hearing increased interest from Baylor, Oklahoma, Georgia, and West Virginia.

The Jayhawks have made an impression on the talented cornerback from the sunshine-state and will host him on an official visit.

"I will be taking an official visit to Kansas on November 16," said Boateng. "I like that there is an opportunity to play early at Kansas. I also like the idea of being an important piece to the puzzle to help restore the glory days of Kansas football."

The Kansas coaches have made it clear to Boateng that he is a priority and have high expectations for what he can bring to their program. One of the Jayhawks' coaches, formerly of the NFL, thinks he has the potential to play professionally.

"They have told me that I would be a big help to their program early on," he mentioned. "Coach (Dave) Campo told me that I am a three-year and out player. He thinks I can be drafted after my junior year and I'm excited that he thinks I'm that talented."

Boateng does not have a favorite school at this time and possibly won't for a while.

"I don't have a leader or a top group of schools," he clarified. "It will be based off how the visits go and where I feel home and comfortable at. After I take my visits I'll just choose a school when I feel that I have found what I'm looking for."

No other visits have been scheduled yet but Boateng also hopes to visit Baylor, Georgia, Florida State, and West Virginia. Top Stories
