Three-star Oklahoma DT Israel Antwine talks KU offer

Oklahoma defensive tackle Israel Antwine talks with about his Kansas offer.

Millwood (Oklahoma City, OK) High School defensive tackle Israel Antwine was surprised Wednesday with an impromptu visit from a Kansas coach.

That quickly followed with another surprise — an offer from the Jayhawks.

"I'm very impressed with Kansas University," Antwine said.

Antwine has more than a dozen offers including several from Big 12 programs.

"It’s an interest, for sure," he said about playing in the Big 12.

"It’s definitely a great experience to get offers from schools all over the country," Antwine said. "It’s definitely a blessing, and I’m grateful"

At 6-foot-4, 295 pounds, Antwine has both the size, skill and mobility college coaches are seeking on the defensive line.

"I’m really impressive with my speed and explosiveness," he said. "I make an impact on the defensive line."

He feels he has a good idea of what he's looking for at the next level.

"I’m looking for a good football program, which will help lead me to the pros," Antwine said. Top Stories
