Jayhawks extend offer to 2019 5-star wing

Bill Self and staff extend an offer a high-level 2019 wing.

Harvard-Westlake (West Hollywood, Calif.) School 2019 SF Cassius Stanley picked up a Kansas offer Thursday.

Stanley is the No. 15 ranked player in the 2019 class, and the No. 5 ranked small forward.

Stanley's father, Jerome, told Scout's Michael Luke in late March that the Jayhawks had been reaching out to him often and that they were keeping all options open.

“As far as recruiting goes the two teams we’re hearing the most from are Stanford and Kansas," Jerome Stanley told Luke at the time. “We’re interested in all schools though, so we’re anxiously awaiting to hear the pitch and what is out there.”

The analysis of Stanley's game has this to offer: "At 6-foot-5, Stanley has good size and length for the shooting guard position. Athletically, Stanley is elite, as he's a very impressive leaper that moves fluidly and well laterally. Stanley excels in transition and on the defensive end, where he has a chance to be a very good perimeter defender." Top Stories
