"I think Bill has a lot more confidence in himself so he is believing when he puts the ball in the air -- we have a chance to make a play."
"We have to have awareness and have to know what is happening on the field at all times. Even though we are running our route we need to know what is going on in the backfield. We need to find an open spot if Bill has to flush out because there is a good chance that he will find us -- he is done it before."
"I think we have a lot more confidence in ourselves to catch the ball and then get some yards after the play."
Senior OL Adrian Jones:
"This game is just as important as any other game"
"I think this is a game where we can focus on improving certain areas before Big 12 play."
"I think Bill is more focused then last year. He is fitting more into the leadership role at quarterback -- getting things done and being more efficient."
Freshman DB Kenneth Thompson:
"As I'm out there at nickel back -- I like to blitz. Whenever they call a blitz I know that if I do everything right I may have a good chance at sacking the quarterback or interrupting anything he has to do. Being out there at nickel back I can cover too -- so I can show some of my skills that coach Collins has taught me." "If this is my chance I have to make the best of it and show whatever I can do. Hopefully I can improve and be a benefit to the team."
Junior RB Austine Nwabuisi:
"I have to give credit to the offensive line because the hole I ran through was huge. I don't think I was touched and going eight yards without being touched -- I can't take all of the credit for that."
"The offensive line worked all summer and spring and I think they are working a lot better together. I think they have gotten better just like our team has as a whole. They have definitely shown a lot of improvement. We are definitely headed in the right direction."
"We are working hard. Thinking about the past is not much fun. I like what's going on right now -- the team has a different attitude and we are playing with more confidence. If we keep it going we should be alright."
