Jayhawks Offer Texas LB/RB

The Kansas football team relied heavily on Junior College talent in their 2003 recruiting class. However, it's a well-known fact that Coach Mangino plans on shifting an emphasis to High School Seniors as early as the 2004 recruits. Tim Ball is receiving some of that attention.

Tim Ball is a 6 foot 205 pound linebacker and running back with 4.4 seconds 40 speed. The Insiders has ranked Ball as a three star prospect, and Kansas has already offered a scholarship to the Hebron, Texas product which is in the Dallas area of the Lone Star State. Ball likes the fact that KU has shown a definite interest in his skills. "It feels good to know I already have a Division I offer."

Duke has also placed a scholarship offer on the table for Ball whose receiving looks from Iowa State, TCU, and Northwestern as well. The Senior standout plans on taking an official visit to Lawrence once his high school season concludes. "Definitely, I'm going to take one of my visits to Kansas."

Ball seemed interested in KU for a number of reasons. "I really like it (Kansas), I know it's a good school both educational wise and football wise."

The Jayhawk recruit plans on majoring in Business at college. "My main thing before football is academics because I'm looking for what I will be doing for the next 40 years opposed to the next four years of my life.
