Update: Chris Wade

Score one for the Big 12 North. While this year's conference champion will likely come from the South division, the winner of Chris Wade's services will almost definitely come from the North.

The 6-5, 225 defensive end from Broken Arrow, OK is basically down to a final list of three schools: Missouri , Kansas State and Kansas . At one time Wade was considering Texas A&M, but the Aggies have recently dropped off his "top list" leaving just the Tigers, Wildcats and Jayhawks as front runners.

Wade plans to visit all three and already has a date set up with Missouri on December 12th. The Tigers will lead off his list of visits because they currently lead in his recruitment.

"Right now my leader is Missouri. It's a good football program, a good school academic-wise and for football as well. And some of my boys go up there. So, I'm liking Missouri a lot."

Second place currently goes to the Wildcats.

"After Missouri? Right now it's K-state and then it's Kansas. K-state offered me two weeks ago. I really like their style of defense."

Kansas isn't too far behind their in-state rivals.

"Kansas recently called me and was saying ‘we really like your speed and we like you as an athlete. We want you to come up and be a Jayhawk.'"

Wade has been impressed with what KU head coach Mark Mangino has done in just two seasons in Lawrence.

"I was excited for them. They've stepped it up a lot. I was excited when I heard they were going to a bowl game, I'm looking forward to watching them play in it."

Wade will be paying close attention to all three programs as they finish their seasons and hopes to visit all three in the next month.

"After seeing Missouri on the 12th, hopefully I'm going to take one the 19th to K-state and then the third one to Kansas after Christmas."
