Future Jayhawk Raymond Brown attends Cardinal Ritter College Prep where his team went 6-4 this past fall. It's obvious Brown is an athlete, he plays basketball and runs the 200 in track for his high school in addition to being a Division I football player.
Other colleges who were interested in Brown before he committed to KU in late October included Indiana, Wisconsin, and Memphis. "I selected Kansas because they made me feel comfortable," said Brown. It's yet to be determined what position Brown will play for the Jayhawks. "Thats up in the air, they haven't told me anything yet." However, Kansas Offensive Coordinator Nick Quartaro helped recruit the St. Louis Product. "Coach Quartaro asked me about my grades and interests academically before football which was impressive." Brown plans on pursuing a degree in Business Management at Kansas.
He describes himself as a tall presence on the gridiron. Brown also feels his instincts helped him land a D-I offer. "I would say I'm quick before I would say I am fast."
The turnaround KU has pulled off in football has been fast. Hopefully, Brown will contribute quickly to Mangino's program.
