Padgett Out

LAWRENCE, Kan. -- University of Kansas freshman center David Padgett will miss at least one week of action due to a stress fracture in his left foot, KU coach Bill Self announced on Saturday.

"It's in the early stages," Self said. "The doctors feel like it's not full-blown, and hopefully rest will take care of it. We'll sit him this week, then re-evaluate it, and hopefully get him back soon after that."

Self indicated that David Padgett would miss Wednesday's game versus Kansas State, and is questionable for the team's game at Texas A&M on Jan. 17.

Padgett, a 6-11 native of Reno, Nev., has started all 11 games for the Jayhawks, and averages 7.2 points and 5.5 rebounds per game.

KU tips off against Kansas State on Wednesday, Jan. 14, at 7:00 p.m. in Allen Fieldhouse. Top Stories
