Millard Likes Jayhawks

Chad Millard still likes Kansas, according to his father Doug Millard. In an interview on Monday, the elder Millard said his 6-9 son has the Jayhawks ranked highly on his list.

"I would have to believe KU is in his top two or three.  I would say NC State is up there and I know he likes Louisville a lot and he likes Missouri and Quin Snyder a lot.

"It's pretty hard to beat Kansas though with all their tradition.  He really seems to like their program."

Chad Millard's interest in Kansas is great enough that he and the Jayhawks are currently working to line up an official visit that might come later this spring.

"He's got a very busy schedule this month playing AAU ball, but he's supposed to talk to Joe Dooley this week and possibly line something up.

"I would think they might do it in May, because every weekend this month he's gone.  This weekend he'll be playing in Las Vegas, the following weekend he's in DC to play in the Capital Classic and then he goes to Houston after that."

Millard added that an offer from Kansas would be important to his son as he ponders whether or not to fly out to Lawrence.

"I think it's important for Chad to know if Kansas is going to offer him a scholarship before he spends the time to go over and visit.  I think he's really interested in visiting though."

Stay tuned for more news on Millard later this week, including an exclusive Insiders interview with Chad himself. Top Stories
