A Fine Time in the Fieldhouse

Tyler Hansbrough is fresh off his official visit to Lawrence where he had a busy weekend.

"I'd say the highlight of the trip was looking at all of the facilities and the things they have to offer me," said Tyler Hansbrough.  "The tradition there is so impressive."

"It's an awesome town, I really enjoyed being there,” stated Hansbrough of his first trip to Lawrence.

Jayhawk fans hope it's not his last.  The potential overall top 10 prospect is 6'9" tall and has North Carolina, Kentucky, Florida, and Missouri knocking down his door.

As with most high schoolers who visit KU, the campus really stood out to Hansbrough.  Apparently, so did Allen Fieldhouse.

"That place is pretty cool.  It's a nice building," Hansbrough added.

Hansbrough spent some time with 2004 target Alex Galindo who was in town for the same weekend.

"We hung out a little bit, he seems like a nice guy.”

The KU coaches elected to show Hansbrough and Galindo some of the sights together and also part of the trip we're conducted on an individual basis.

Hansbrough's father will visit North Carolina this weekend to see what Chapel Hill has to offer.  Tyler toured the campus back in January when he was there on an official, and may head East with his dad.

"That's a possibility.  I'm up in the air, but my dad is going for sure this weekend to check it out."

Hansbrough continues to target July as a possible date for when he may make a decision regarding his college of choice.
