Jeff Adrien, a 6-foot-6 inside forward from Brewster Academy in New Hampshire, told the Insiders Report that he plans on taking his next visit to Connecticut. "I will probably visit Connecticut [this] Friday or Saturday," Adrien said. "I am not sure yet of the day but it's probably one of those two days."
Adrien, who had a terrific Peach Jam tournament and a good Showcase event this past July, elevated his stock due to these great performances while college coaches were watching. Among the schools that have maintained a high level of interest with Adrien are also Kansas and Pittsburgh.
"I haven't set up any dates for visits yet with those schools," Adrien said. "But they are all great programs. It's going to be hard to choose a school."
Adrien said he hasn't closed off his list and still remains open. Jeff did speak about his top three schools and what he likes the most about them.
On Kansas: "They have a second year head coach. They made it to the Elite Eight and that's a good season. They have a good winning tradition too."
On Connecticut: "I grew up a Connecticut and North Carolina fan. They have had great success recently, winning two championships over the last five years."
On Pittsburgh: "They are an up and coming program. They have been very consistent in winning the last few seasons. I think they were in the Sweet 16 the past three years."
Adrien admitted he loves to watch college basketball and knows a great deal about the schools recruiting him. "I love watching college basketball," he said. "So I really do know a lot about the programs recruiting me."
