KU senior Keith Langford forced overtime in the waning seconds of regulation with a floater in the lane. KU hit only one field goal in the extra session as junior Jeff Hawkins knocked down a three from the top of the key.
Stinson connected on a 12-foot jumper in the lane with 5.4 seconds remaining to give the Cyclones a two-point lead. Kansas had one last shot at the victory, but Langford's three-point attempt hit the front of the rim as the buzzer sounded.
Senior Wayne Simien led the Jayhawks with 17 points and 11 rebounds. Langford added nine points and six boards, while freshman Sasha Kaun, senior Aaron Miles and sophomore J.R. Giddens each scored seven points in the loss. Miles dished out a game-high 10 assists.
"This was as disappointing a game as we have played since I have been here at Kansas. We were pitiful offensively and played terrible overall. We have got to think about playing and shooting better at Oklahoma," Self added.
Kansas (20-3, 10-2 Big 12) will travel to Norman, Okla., Monday night to take on the Sooners. Tip-off is scheduled for 8 p.m.
