Kansas Lands Lewis (Again!)

After first committing to Kansas and subsequently decommitting, Dwight Lewis, a 6-5 SG from Archbishop Rummel High School in Metairie, LA has given a verbal commitment to play for Bill Self and the Kansas Jayhawks. More inside.

Kansas received it's first commit for 2006 today when Dwight Lewis gave his verbal commitment to play basketball at Kansas. Lewis, a 6-5 guard, was ranked by Scout.com as the 12th best at his position in it's latest rankings.

Lewis had committed to Kansas on April 19, but later pulled back on his commitment until after making an official visit to Kansas last weekend.

Phog.net's Eric Bossi had these comments regarding Lewis:

"Although he's a kid that not many have gotten a chance to see, word from those who saw him last summer is that he's a major talent. I saw him some last summer and thought he was a nice player with a knack for scoring. He's a slender wing who shoots pretty well, is a good athlete who can get to the hoop and has a super mid-range game."
