After Baylor jumped out to a 6-2 lead, Kansas went on a 14-3 run to take early control of the game. During the run, KU recorded six assists on its six field goals.
The Jayhawks took a 33-25 lead into halftime and outscored Baylor 43-36 in the second stanza. Baylor made 9-of-13 3-point attempts in the second half to stay close. KU out-rebounded Baylor 38-28 during the game and scored 32 points in the paint.
Giles recorded three of KU's nine blocked shots. Rush pulled down five rebounds to go with his four steals, three assists and two blocks. Sophomore guard Russell Robinson dropped a career-high nine dimes.
Kansas will travel to Austin, Texas, to face the Longhorns on Saturday, Feb. 25. The game will be televised nationally on ESPN at 8 p.m.
