Dudley was named first team all-district and third team all-state as a junior after racking up 119 tackles, five sacks and blocked a punt.
"Kansas, Rice and SMU are my favorites, and I don't have a leader."
Here's what Dudley had to say about his three leaders:
"Kansas is in the Big 12 and has a great program," he said. "I like the coaches. They think I have a good frame and nose for the ball. They like my potential as a linebacker. The only negative thing about Kansas is that I'd rather stay closer to home."
"Rice and SMU are both close to home. They both have great academics. I met some of SMU's coaches, and I like them. Major Applewhite is recruiting me for Rice and he's a good guy. I plan on visiting both schools before school starts."
Dudley has already visited Kansas, Missouri, Oklahoma State and Baylor this summer. He is a possible December graduate and hopes to make his college decision before the season gets underway.
"Program prestige and academics will be important," he said. "My relationship with the coaches and how I fit in is also something I will look at."
He reports a 370 bench, 500 squat and 300 power clean. He carries a 3.9 GPA on a 5.0 scale and scored a 1710 on the SAT (new format).
