Strong Season for Kansas Verbal

Kansas verbal Brian Murphy has helped his team remain unbeaten this season with an 11-0 record. The Scout.com two-star running back talks about his season and his commitment.

"Our season is going real well," said Brian Murphy from Lawrence, Kansas. "We are getting ready to play West (Shawnee Mission) in the semi-finals. We are 11-0, and I have rushed for 1,023 yards and 17 touchdowns. I am averaging 6.7 yards a carry." The speedster committed to Kansas back in June and said, "I am still a solid verbal. I have an official visit to KU scheduled for Dec.1. I am excited and ready to get there."

Murphy stays in contact with the Kansas coaching staff on a regular basis and a good relationship has developed.

"Coach (Clint) Bowen and I talk every week. He calls and wishes me good luck and stuff like that. I also talk to coach (Earle) Mosley pretty often, but I talk to coach Bowen the most."

Fifth ranked Free State will face third ranked West (Shawnee Mission) Friday night in a battle of unbeaten teams.
