"It was great," Steven Foster said of his visit. "My host was Jake Sharp. He took me around and showed me everything. He was real cool. There were a couple other players I hung around that were real cool too. I really enjoyed my time up there."
Although Foster's high school team only went 4-5 this season, it did not keep the Jayhawk verbal from putting up stellar numbers in his senior year.
"I had my best season overall," Foster said. "I rushed for just under 1,800-yards and scored 22 touchdowns. I also played middle linebacker on 'D' [defense] and led our conference with 125 tackles. I had one interception and returned it 91-yards for a touchdown. I also had one sack."
When asked his favorite part of the official visit Foster replied, "I would say my favorite part was hanging out with my host. Just seeing what it was like to living in Lawrence alone and as a football player."
Foster stays in regular contact with Kansas, and a great bond has formed with the coaching staff.
"I talk to KU at least once or twice a week to coach Blaney, my recruiting coach," he said. "I have so much respect for him. He is a big reason I committed to Kansas."
