KU: Carmen Boyd-Anderson

Carmen Boyd-Anderson will play tailback for the Kansas Jayhawks. He recorded 1,672 yards on 240 carries and 18 touchdowns during his senior season.

Assistant Coach Nathan Barrier took some time to discuss Scout.com three-star running back, Carmen Boyd-Anderson.

"He was a pleasure to coach." Barrier said. "A kid that is very intelligent. (He) picked everything up very fast. He is a very conscientious kid, a leader. He is a very talented kid as well."

"I think the sky is the limit for him. All through high school he has played multiple sports and hasn't had a lot of time to put into the weight room. He is just going to be able to focus on football now."

"The kid is tremendously talented. He has great vision and instincts, and now he can really work on his athletic ability besides playing basketball, running track and doing all that other stuff. I think you will see a tremendous improvement in the kid."

When asked why his star player chose Kansas, "I really don't know," he replied. "I know he went on the visit and had some other visits scheduled and went up there and just loved it. (He) Loved the coaches, the atmosphere, everything you could talk about, he just loved everything."

Boyd-Anderson was awarded Jacksonville Daily Progress All-District.
