"I committed to Kansas today at their camp," said Tanner Hawkinson. "After the camp I stood around and waited for coach [Brandon] Blaney. I told coach Blaney there was something I wanted him to know."
"We walked over to coach Mangino and I told him I was ready to commit. The coaches were pretty excited. They have been after me for a while."
"I kind of knew in the back of my mind I wanted to go to Kansas. It was the perfect time going to their camp. I talked to my dad on the way there about it."
"After talking to their coaches face-to-face, and working with them at the camp, I knew it was where I wanted to go. It helped solidify my decision after working with them."
"I definitely feel real comfortable up there. They need a tight end. Their coaches make me feel real comfortable. I have always been a big fan of Kansas."
"It feels good to be committed. It's a big weight off your shoulders. I don't have to go to any more camps or visits."
"I am not going to visit any other schools. I am finished with everything," Hawkinson explained.
