Kansas Lands Commitment

Tim Biere, a Scout.com three-star tight end from Omaha-Westside, Nebraska, attended the Kansas camp over the weekend and saw all he needed to become the next Jayhawk commitment. Biere talks about his decision and if he is finished with his recruitment....

"I committed to Kansas today," Tim Biere said. "I went to their camp, and I called them today to tell them I was ready to commit."

"I thought their campus was really nice. They are building a $35-million dollar football facility, and that is going to be really nice."

"I really liked Kansas a lot. I felt comfortable with the coaching staff, and I felt like there is a good opportunity for me to play tight end."

"I have a good relationship with the coaching staff. Coach [Brandon] Blaney is a real good guy. I liked the way he was coaching at the camp."

The Nebraska native had several received scholarship offers before ending his recruitment.

"I am finished with visits," Biere said. "I chose Kansas over offers from Kansas State and Colorado State."

"It feels real good to have my decision over. I can focus on my senior season."

Biere recorded 29 receptions for 456 yards and nine touchdowns during his junior campaign. He added 70 tackles, 16 tackles for loss and four sacks on defense.
