Before arriving in Lawrence on Thursday, Michael Brooks was excited that his recruitment would be coming to an end with his commitment to Kansas. Unfortunately for Brooks and Kansas fans, his recruitment continues.
“They didn’t offer”, Brooks said. “They said they were going to offer, which is why I made the trip up here.”
Although Kansas didn’t offer this week, it doesn’t mean they won’t, or that Brooks has eliminated Kansas from his list.
“They (Kansas) said they want to see how I play for my high school this year. They want to do some more evaluation.”
Now that all his visits are done, Brooks now will be choosing from a list of four schools, Kansas, Louisville, Vanderbilt, and Oklahoma State. Now at 250 lbs, decent speed, high motor, and great work ethic, Brooks will be a valuable addition to any of these four programs. Kansas specifically, has shown the ability get hidden gems on the defensive side of the ball, and get them to play at their maximum ability. Hopefully, that offer that Brooks has been waiting for comes sooner than later.
