Darius Parish, Scout.com three-star defensive tackle from Wichita-North, Kansas, has signed his letter of intent to join the class of 2008 for the Jayhawks.

Recruiting coach: "Coach [Clint] Bowen recruited, and he's a pretty good coach. We have a pretty good relationship, and we talk at least once or twice a week."

Expect to redshirt?: "I want to get as much playing time as I can as a freshman. I want to learn as much as possible. If you are ready to play, you will. But if not, then you'll redshirt. It all depends on if you are ready or not."

Why KU?: "I chose Kansas because I will have more support there. I know a little more about the educational opportunities there. I have a pretty good chance of excelling at KU."
