eBoss Hoops Class of 2008 Final Rankings

As the members of the high schoolclass of 2008 moves on from high school and ready themselves to arrive on their respective college campuses, scouts have been taking their cracks at ranking them one last time. Today, it's time for one last person to take a final swing at ranking what turned out to be an interesting class.

While not likely to produce double digit one and done guys like the class of 2007, there are still plenty of guys in 2008 who are capable of making an immediate impact on the college level . Maybe most interesting, is that there really isn’t a clear cut number one in this group. With as many as five or six guys in the argument, Jrue Holiday emerges as the winner here thanks to an incredible senior season and his commitment to playing on both sides of the ball. Also factoring heavily into the decision to place him in the top spot is the idea that he’s going to ultimately play the point guard position.

As always, the rankings come with a huge disclaimer because there is no magical formula that can be used to rank them. This is just one man’s opinion of the players he’s seen and it’s based on a combination of both high school and summer production, future potential and how ready a player is for college. As usual, these are done for fun and to spark a little conversation so please take them -- and any other rankings -- for what they are, an opinion.

Be on the lookout for pre-summer rankings of the classes of 2009, 2010 and players to watch in 2011 next week.
