Recruiting Quickies

Keeping up with the future Jayhawks in tournament play.

John Marshall defeated Douglass in the season opener on November 26th. J.R. Giddens had 36 points, 18 rebounds, and 5 blocks before a standing-room-only crowd. WSU recruit and teammate Adam Liberty also tossed in big numbers as well. John Marshall was scheduled to play NW Classen on Tuesday but games were cancelled. Next up for the Bears is Lawton Eisenhower on December 10th.

David Padgett and the Reno Huskies are playing in the Lone Star Invitational in San Antonio, TX. Games started on Thursday evening and will continue through Saturday. While Reno High is the only Nevada team the field includes schools from multiple states, including seven Texas teams. The team to beat may be the highly ranked Mater Dei from Santa Ana, CA.

Loyola High School and Omar Wilkes are in Phoenix, AZ for tournament play. Wilkes is one of twelve returning players from the Bears CIF Div 1A championship team. Loyola will also compete in the Ocean View Tournament of Champions the next week in Huntington Beach. Top Stories
