Needs work: "I'd like to get a little faster and improve my footwork. The college game is a lot faster, so I'll need to be better in those areas to be effective."

Recruiting coach/relationship: "Coach [David] Beaty recruited me for Kansas. We have a good relationship, and he was one of the main reasons why I committed to Kansas. He told me a lot about the program. He's a very nice guy."

Expected to redshirt?: "I think I could be playing a lot as a freshman, but that will depend on hard work and me proving myself. But if redshirting does occur, it's not a big deal. It will give me another year to get better."

Why Kansas?: "When I visited Kansas, it just felt like home to me. Everybody welcomed me with open arms. I had an inner feeling that I could see myself there for the next four or five years."
