Strengths: "Getting after the quarterback is one of my biggest strengths," he said. "I absolutely idolize Julius Peppers and Jared Allen. I try to mold my game after them. I feel as though I can beat most offensive lineman off the line and blow around them. Getting after the quarterback and getting a sack or hurried pass, are always my goals."

Needs work: "My weaknesses I need to work on are: I need to add weight to my frame. I also want to continue and improve my speed and footwork. More importantly, working on my technique will always be a factor."

Recruiting coach/relationship: "Coach [Clint] Bowen is the best. We have a lot in common. Coach Bowen actually student taught at Olathe North after he graduated college. I spoke with him at length. Coach Bowen is real honest and straightforward."

Expected to redshirt: "If I had to redshirt my freshman year, this would be no problem. That gives me more time to learn the football system, academics, and adjust to college life."

Why Kansas?: "I went in to talk to Coach Mangino and Coach Bowen to let them know I wanted to commit. They welcomed me with open arms. They knew I had to find my way. Kansas is home, and I belong here."
