Wichita Back Not Worried

Wichita, KS has always produced talented players, and this year is no exception. Oklahoma quarterback commit Blake Bell (Bishop Carroll), Kansas State running back commit DeMarcus Robinson (Wichita Northwest), and Joseph Randle are the three big names from the area in the 2010 class.

Co-defensive coordinator and linebackers coach Bill Miller is in charge of Joseph Randle's recruitment, and so far Randle has been cool under pressure.

"It's all good.  I am just chilling.  I am not worried about my recruitment because whenever I see the schools I want I am going to be able to decide."

This summer he has been spending as much time as he can with his "family".

"My family (football team) winning state is more important to me than my ranking.  I have just been working on everything."

The versatile running back from Wichita Southeast weighs is 6 feet tall and weighs in at 188.  Last season he did a little bit of everything.  Averaging nearly 5.6 yards per carry he rushed for 834 yards.  He proved he can catch the ball as well with 9 grabs for 72 yards.  He even completed three passes for 146 yards.  Some teams are giving him a look on defense because of his 61 tackles.  What teams are in the thick of the hunt?  Randle listed 5 notable schools.

Kansas - "We have a connection because of my brother."

Kansas State - "Coach Snyder is back and they like running the ball.  Chris Harper is going there too."

Oklahoma State - ‘I really like the running backs coach.  I want to take an official visit because it's close to home."

Iowa - "They run the ball and they have a good O-line."

Missouri - "I like the offense and I could use my receiving ability."

When trying to decide on a school, Randle mentioned a couple of things that will be factors.

"Academics are important.  I want to find a place that I can call home for 4 or 5 years.  I want to fit in to the game plan."

In the end, his family will be with him when he makes a decision.  Right now, the plan is to visit the schools he likes.

"I am interested in schools that are interested in me.  Right now my main goal is winning state."
