Milton Drops KU

Matt Milton was offered a scholarship by KU but it appears that they are no longer being considered. The four star wide receiver from Mascoutah, IL said he respected Kansas but they didn't fit his style of offense.

"Kansas is a good school but they run the spread and that's not what I play.  I am more suited for a pro-style offense."

Several weeks ago Milton had mentioned two of the schools that still remain very high on his list: Tennessee and Illinois.

Tennessee - "I like the offense they run and they have a great coaching staff.  When Lane Kiffin was at USC he did a lot for their program."

Illinois - "They were the first school to recruit me and even though they don't run a pro-style offense, they have been good lately.  Everyone at that school and in this area is a huge Illini fan."

Milton said he stands at 6'5" and currently weighs 215 lbs.  He has certain areas of his game that he said he would like to improve on.

"My route running needs some work.  I need to be sharper and more crisp in and out of cuts."

Like every player, the wide-out from Mascoutah wants to go somewhere where he will be comfortable.  He is interested in majoring in communications and broadcasting.

Whoever lands Matt Milton will be acquiring a speedy vertical threat that will be tough to defend. Top Stories
