Evans a Commodity

Many players that have as many offers (ten) as cornerback Ciante Evans from Seguin High (TX) in Arlington would be anxious to get the recruiting process over with. The three star defensive has narrowed his list down to eight schools, and you couldn't tell that he was stressed at all.

"I feel pretty good about everything," Evans said.

Evans' impressive list is made up of Arizona State, Illinois, Kansas, Nebraska, Oklahoma State, Texas A&M, Texas Tech, and Utah.  He also has an offer from TCU and most recently, Iowa.

"I like Tech and OSU, and I might take officials to Illinois, Utah, and Nebraska.  I know all the kids that are going up to Kansas too."

Ciante isn't just looking for a place to play, he is looking for an education that will be beneficial down the line.

"I have looked at the student athlete ratios and graduation rates.  I want to have a good job when I graduate."

When asked what his favorite thing about football was, he responded with, "Just going out and competing.  Showcasing your talent and playing the game."

Everyone has room for improvement, and Evans says that he could improve on a couple of things.

"I want to focus on taking the main receiver out of the game, as well as being more physical overall."

Good size is something that Evans possesses (6'0" 178 lbs.).  He runs a 4.5 forty and had four interceptions last season.  The talented defensive back thinks he will try and make a decision whenever he feels most comfortable and ready.

"I will most likely decide right after the season or just wait until signing day."
