Wilkes Week: Stats and Stuff

As Omar Wilkes and Loyola High head into the playoffs, Phog.net kicks off Wilkes Week by looking at his stats for the season thus far.

Omar Wilkes and Loyola High School have won the Mission League conference and are looking ahead to defending their Division 1A CIF championship title February 21st - March 8th. Should Loyola repeat as CIF champions the team will then advance to the state tournament. Brackets and a complete schedule can be found at the CIF website

Wilkes has averaged 17.4 ppg with 400 points so far this season. According to stats provided by Loyola High School's sports information He is shooting almost 60% from the field, 43% from 3pt range, and just over 76% from the line. Prior to the last game of the regular season Omar had 72 rebounds, 65 assists, 10 blocks, 42 steals, and 26 turnovers.

Omar leads his team in total points scored. Teammate Chris Rucker shoots a slightly higher percentage of FG and Cantor Davis has a slightly higher percentage in 3pt shots.
