Farewell To A Friend

Phog.net says goodbye today to a pioneer in website recruiting evaluations, and more importantly, to our good friend, Eric Bossi.

Several weeks ago, Eric advised Phog.net that he would be stepping downfrom his posts with Phog.net and Scout.com to pursue new opportunities.

Eric first began posting on Phog.net 10 years ago as "KCHoops".  He quickly earned a reputation as the most knowledgeable poster on any Kansas fan website when it came to KU and other national prep recruits. As time passed, Phog/net posters looked to KCHoops to answer questions and offer evals on the high school players most coveted by KU fans.

When Phog.net joined the Scout network, KCHoops shed his nom de plum and became Eric Bossi, and later simply monikered: eBoss.  Very quickly, eBoss gave Phog.net readers the most in depth player evaluations found anywhere on the internet.  He has given us an insight into the recruiting process that very few fan sites have been able to offer their subscribers.  His contribution to Phog.net has been to increase our appreciation and enjoyment for the game that we love.

Over the last 7 years many of us have been able to meet and interact with eBoss on the boards, chatroom, and at Phog.net tailgating parties.  We have come to know eBoss as an authentic guy, with a passion for basketball, who cares about the kids he covers, and perhaps most tellingly, as a good dad to his "Laney." We regret that eBoss has chosen to pursue new opportunities - but we certainly support his desire to explore new chapters in his life.  He will be sorely missed.  Our hope is that eBoss will continue to visit Phog.net as a fellow "poster".  But wherever his path leads him, we wish Eric and his family only the best.

As we wish Eric well, Phog.net is also poised to continue to deliver its comprehensive coverage of KU hoops and gridiron teams as well as recruiting.  An announcement will be made very soon detailing Phog.net's plan to provide the unparalleled coverage you have come to depend on.

We ask that you reserve your questions until that announcement has been made.

For now, please join us in wishing Eric well.

Sincerely,

Phog.net.
