Kansas Hammers Aggies

Aggies go down in Lawrence. Wayne Simien aggravates shoulder injury. More inside.

Blowout at Allen

Kansas, fresh on the heels of a difficult loss to Oklahoma in Norman, rebounds tonight to pound Texas A&M 85-45 in Lawrence.

Kirk Hinrich led all scorers with 23 points, and fellow senior Nick Collison dropped in 15 points and 12 boards.

Keith Langford's slashing to the basket led to his scoring 18 on the evening, in part due to the care and feeding provided by Kansas guard Aaron Miles, who had his own double double tonight with 10 points and 10 assists.

For the Aggies, Morales led all scorers with 9 points, and normally-hot Bernard King managed only 7 points and 3 boards.

Simien Injury Update

Sophomore Wayne Simien reinjured his shoulder just moments after entering the game in the first half, the injury coming on an attempted block of a shot by Bernard King of Texas A&M.

Simien screamed in pain and immediately was removed to the KU locker room.  ESPN is reporting that Simien suffered a "subluxation" of the shoulder and, barring any further setback, should be available for Saturdays game vs. Oklahoma State.
