Langford Shall Lead Them

Kansas clinches share of Big 12 title as KU beats Texas Tech 65-56 in Lubbock.

Title Match (Almost)

With their win in Lubbock against the Texas Tech Red Raiders on Monday night, the Kansas Jayhawks clinched at least a share of the Big 12 Men's Basketball title, beating the Raiders 65-56.  Kansas could win the title outright with a win in their final Big 12 regular season game - against a tough Mizzou squad in Columbia on Sunday.

Langford Deadly

Keith Langford sliced (and diced) on occasion, but really killed Tech with his mid-range game, hitting 10-13 from the field for an even 20 points on the night.  Two oddities here - seeing a young guy figure out how to make a living shooting 10 to 15-foot jumpers and seeing a slasher like Langford also manage to go an entire game without shooting one free throw.

Nick Collison added "only" 13 points tonight, highlighting the double teams he experienced each time he touched the ball on offense.  Kirk Hinrich was also relatively quiet on the offensive end, finishing with 10 points, and one huge three-point basket from deep in the corner as the Raiders attempted a second-half comeback.
