Kentucky has an obvious need on the defensive side of the ball in several positions, including linebacker. One of Kentucky's commitments for the 2011 class is Blake Terry.

Blake Terry (6-foot, 235-pounds) is projected as a middle linebacker or maybe a weakside linebacker at the next level. Terry, however, has sacrificed himself for his team and played on the defensive line for his Guyer High squad.

"My season is going pretty good," said Terry. "Our record is 4-2. The two losses were from some pretty good programs, but they were beatable. We just have to stay focused on our goal and our success will continue," said Terry.

"I am still playing on the line. My team needs me there and even thought I don't like it, I'm not selfish. I'm willing to do whatever my team and coaches ask of me," he continued.

Terry is well aware of how the Wildcats are doing this season and he feels like he knows what it will take to succeed at UK.

"I have watched almost every game Kentucky has played. They are dong pretty good. They just need some fine tuning in areas," said Terry. "Their defense should have more than just one impact player in Danny Trevathan. The whole defense should be striving to be the number one defense in the SEC. Discipline is needed for a team to continue success and not just be satisfied with a bowl appearance," Terry continued.

Terry believes the athletes are there, but there's more to it than that.

"They have the athletes to win but so does the other SEC schools. It's about who wants it more and that's something each player is going to have to figure out for themselves," Terry said.

Terry will be visiting Kentucky for his official on the weekend of October 23rd for the Georgia game.
