Jones, Lamb talking about Carolina

Two of Kentucky's youngsters, Terrence Jones and Doron Lamb, discuss playing North Carolina on Saturday.

Terrence Jones is only a freshman, but he doesn't think what it will take for Kentucky to win at North Carolina Saturday is all that complicated. "We just have to play the way coach Cal wants us to play and I say everything will be fine," said Jones, who has four double-doubles — tops for any freshman in the country — this season. "I know we will be ready to play. We are going to work these next few days to get ready for it."

Jones admits this is no ordinary game. Even though he's from Portland, Ore., he grew up watching teams like North Carolina play on TV. "This game means a lot. It is always a school I saw on TV growing up as a little kid. North Carolina, Georgetown, Duke. It means a lot to play them now," Jones said. "We have to listen to coach Cal, play how he wants us to. Just play like we did in the second half (against Boston University Tuesday.)"

Freshman guard Doron Lamb of New York remembers watching on TV last year when UK beat North Carolina in Rupp Arena.

"I saw the game last year and it was a crazy game here and I know they will want to get us back," said Lamb. "I know it will be crazy in that gym. We have to talk on defense, talk on offense. We may not be able to hear, but we have to be aggressive on defense.

"I get excited for all the big games, especially North Carolina and Louisville. Those are going to be the two big games on the road for us."
