Walker evaluates the play of Harrellson

Josh Harrellson is a guy that can make an open jump shot, get a couple of putbacks and go out there and get you 10 or 11 rebounds. That's who he is.

Josh Harrellson is not doing a bad job except for getting in foul trouble. He's not used to playing this much and perhaps is a tad bit slow, but this guy was supposed to be a backup center. Now he's a starter and you can't expect him to be Patrick Patterson and DeMarcus Cousins just because he is playing.

He is a guy that can make an open jump shot, get a couple of putbacks and go out there and get you 10 or 11 rebounds if he stays out of foul trouble. That's who he is and I don't want him to try and be more than what he is. I think he will get better as the year goes on.

I think he will ultimately provide more offense. Right now he's just a garbage man, and that is his role. If he continues to do that, I am okay with that.

I know he can shoot the 3-point shot well. He might need to go outside more. So far they need him on the inside to do the dirty work, so I don't think he's even thought about 3-point shots. It would be nice for him to take some of those shots. That could be a big advantage for UK. If he can make a couple of those shots, then you can make somebody have to guard him. We all know he's capable of doing that.

Hopefully he will keep doing the things coach Calipari is asking him to do and then maybe Coach down the line will say he's giving me everything he has and reward him by letting him take some 3-point shots.
