Kentucky has targeted several linebacker prospects this season and one of the most talented, but least mentioned is Pensacola Catholic (Fl.) prospect, Demarius Rancifer. Rancifer. Rancifer took his official visit to Lexington this weekend and came away impressed.

"The Kentucky visit was great," he said. "Everything stood out to me. The visit was just great," he said.

Rancifer is considering the Wildcats along with Ole Miss and West Virginia. He is planning a visit to Ole Miss in January.

The 6-foot-3, 215-pounder looks the part and definitely played the part for his high school this year, racking up over 120 tackles on the season and leading his school to an 8-6 record.

"I think I performed pretty good this season, but I could have done better. I can't do anything but look towards the future now," he finished.

In his position, Kentucky needs players who get after the ball in a big way and it's clear that Rancifer does that well.

"I consider my strengths my knowledge of the game and my ability to pursue the ball," he said. "I really want to improve my speed and my size," he continued.

KSR will continue to track Rancifer and other recruits and bring you information as soon as it's available.
