Beckham headed home?

Kentucky is a team that clearly doesn't have a lot of depth, despite the total talent on the roster. However it appears that Calipari is trying to add a little depth for the future, as Antiquawn "Twany" Beckham looks to be transferring to Kentucky from Mississippi State.

Kentucky is a team that clearly doesn't have a lot of depth, despite the total talent on the roster. However it appears that Calipari is trying to add a little depth for the future, as Antiquawn "Twany" Beckham looks to be transferring to Kentucky from Mississippi State.

Antiquawn Beckham was a star prospect in the 2007 class for Ballard, averaging 16 points, eight rebounds and four assists per game as a senior. Beckham initially signed with IUPUI, before choosing to attend prep school for a year at The New Hampton School.

Beckham caught the attention of Rick Stansbury at Mississippi State during that prep year that saw him average 15 points and eight assists per contest. Twany signed with Mississippi State in 2008 and played some off the bench for the Bulldogs during his freshman campaign.

Last year Beckham sat out after having hip surgery and only played in a few games this year before choosing to transfer during the Christmas break.

The 6-foot-5, 190-pound combo guard will likely be a walk-on and because of his experience, he can help out the team in the practice setting immediately and provide backup minutes to UK's guards beginning the second semester next season.
