The 5-foot-10, 195-pound running back rushed for 285 yards on 46 carries this season at City College of San Francisco. Ford scored six touchdowns and averaged 6.1 yards per carry. Ford, cousin of former UK great Craig Yeast, spoke with his family and has chosen to come back east and play at Kentucky.
"My family and I prayed and thought real hard about the situation. We feel very strongly about me going into Coach Phillips's program and being a standout at the running back position next season," said Ford.
The Harrodsburg (Ky.) native is excited about coming back to the Lexington area and performing close to home.
"I'm so excited to come back home and play in front of my family. Hopefully this year we will come together as a team and bring an SEC championship back to Lexington," Ford said.
Ford rushed for over 2000 yards as a senior at Mercer County High.
