Ron Ball: Day Five from Orlando, Part 2 of 3

We ended Part 1 of the 3 part series with a look at 2013 PG Kasey Hill. Part 2 picks up right where we left off.

Reviews here have been a bit mixed but I love his quickness and ability to drive to the rim. Others have been critical of his turnovers.

The final player on my list of kids who caught my eye was Marcel White. He is a 6-5 SF/SG out of Lake Wales FL who is teamed with Kobe Eubanks (class of 2014 SG). White impressed me with his scoring ability. He will likely end up at a mid major as it is reported he has offers from the likes of Charleston, Providence, Richmond and James Madison although there is some interest in GA as well as some of the smaller FL schools such as UCF. He is a good player.

Speaking of Eubanks, this is a kid to keep an eye on (video). He reminds me a lot of former UK and NBA player Derrick Anderson. There is plenty of interest from some big schools in Eubanks.

Danuel House had a nice tourney as well. He is a kid who can shoot and showed in well this week. I did catch one game by Dakari Johnson. Nothing new here other than I still believe he will be the best big man in the class of 2014. He seems to be in much better condition this year, so much so he nearly pulled a basket over on one dunk. For those unaware, he has followed Kevin Boyle, formerly the coach of St Patricks HS in NJ to Montverde Academy in Florida where he will team with Kasey Hill and Laundry Nnoko. This puts him right in Billy Donovan's backyard.
This concludes part 2 of the 3 part series. Ron Ball wraps up the five day series with his finale, part 3, next.
