Kentucky continued it's streak of commitments today when they landed a verbal from three-star defensive end Langston Newton.

"I'm headed to the University of Kentucky," Newton said via Twitter this morning.

Newton (6-5, 240-pounds) picked the Wildcats over offers from Indiana, Western Kentucky, Arkansas State and some MAC schools.

Newton is not only a star on the gridiron, but also an excellent track athlete. He is a U.S. Track and Field National Champion in the discus. He has offers in track from Kentucky, Ohio State and heavy interest in the sport from Louisville and LSU.

Langston will join his brother, UK quarterback Morgan Newton on the Wildcat roster next season.

Kentucky Sports Report will have more on this breaking story as the information is made available.
