There was a level of satisfaction coming from offensive coordinator Randy Sanders on his young o-linemen. He said that in last week's scrimmage, there were some false starts but in today's scrimmage there were no false starts.
Joker expressed pleasure in both units today. He said – "The defense got going fast early and kind of shut the offense down. But the offense bounced back and got the ball in the end zone a couple times. It was one of those defenses early that gave up a couple of big plays but the defense bowed their neck and stopped the offense from getting in the end zone. I'm proud of that but then you got a chance to see the offense battle back and get the ball in the end zone."
Phillip alluded to GAP (game altering plays) plays – which is runs over fifteen and passes over twenty-five - that the defense limited the offense to. "They gave up two in the first couple of series but then didn't allow any the rest of the scrimmage."
