Mike Summers referred to Miller affectionately as his 'little buddy.' Summers said - "He is pretty special. He has had such a great frame of mind from the day he walked in here; focused upon his assignments; paid attention to detail and technique, and displayed the athletic ability to do the things we want him to do. We said had that's pretty high praise for a rookie? Summers said - "Very unusual for me. I pass out praise in small quanities. He is a guy that has done nothing but impress since he walked in here and I'm just really encouraged at how he has handled the pressure I've put on him and how he handled the pressure in the game."
Joker Phillips said, "We think he's got a chance to be a real talent. I can tell you this, There's no one in here ('Wildcat Den' Monday) that would've guessed that Miller would've been starting a game this year. I'm happy to have him there. You very seldom see a true freshman that can play in there. He has long arms, quick feet, bigger than we thought when he got here, which means he had done some work on his own."
