KSR Member hears Antiqua speak

Heard Orlando Antiqua speak at our QB Club Meeting in Louisville today. Nothing top secret but would appreciate you not put this on any other boards as we try to protect our speakers.

One of our regular community member, Terry Blue, attending an engagement where UK Assistant Coach Orlando Antiqua spoke. This was TERRYBLUE's summary.

Heard Orlando Antiqua speak at our QB Club Meeting in Louisville today. Nothing top secret but would appreciate you not put this on any other boards as we try to protect our speakers.

Wayne Martin got him for us and he said he was supposed to be in New Jersey with Cal at some meeting, then on to recruiting, but he let him speak to us. Orlando is a very personable, smooth speaker, can see why he's a good recruiter.

Said he continues to be blown away by the BBN as evidenced by the 6-700 tents set up for BBM. Said the players have been passing out breakfast sandwiches and pizzas. Since Sept15 they've been able to have two one hr practices per week until the real practice period begins. No doubt this team is very hard working and athletic, not sure how many games they'll win but they will work hard. Of the players coming back Terrence Jones has improved the most, now weighing 255 and improved his outside jumper a bunch. They had to get on Doron Lamb a bit early but now he is working very hard as well.

Jones is a shot blocking machine and you better have quite a bit of separation if you're an offensive player or it's coming back in your face. Darius Miller, Jones, and Lamb standing out as leaders right now. Darius can and probably will play any position but the point. Marquis Teague, is a real "pit bull" at the point, very physical and well developed physically. Lamb and Beckham, when he's eligible, will provide back up there. As Matt Jones had said, Kyle Weltijer, is a three pt shooting machine, and Lando labeled him the best three pt shooter they had. Jones had said second to Lamb. Said he was a legitimate 6'9 and could play multiple positions. Hood is coming along with his injury and not for sure he will redshirt. He could use the extra strength and weight a year in the weight room would do. When asked about Stacey Poole, his body lanquage told me he wasn't that impressed. Said he needed to play a Liggins type role in becoming a lock down defender. Singled out Vandy as biggest competition in the SEC. Well, all I can remember right now, appreciate you're being discreet with the info.
