ESPN's Dykes on Calipari's recruiting

"Coming to Kentucky you are going to be in a high profile program, on a team with a legitimate shot to get to the Final Four, play for one of the all-time great programs in college basketball and play for a guy who has proven he can produce lottery picks. That's what he has to offer," said Dykes

ESPN analyst Jimmy Dykes says it's no surprise Kentucky coach John Calipari has had three straight No. 1 recruiting classes and had another bevvy of highly-ranked recruits at Big Blue Madness last week.

"He can sell facts where some other programs are selling a hope or dream," Dykes said. "If you are an elite player and have a goal of getting to the NBÅ, or getting prepared for the NBA, is the big thing he can sell you about coming to Kentucky. If your goal is to go prepare as quickly as possible for the NBA, Calipari's track record in the draft is hard to argue with right now.

"Coming to Kentucky you are going to be in a high profile program, on a team with a legitimate shot to get to the Final Four, play for one of the all-time great programs in college basketball and play for a guy who has proven he can produce lottery picks. That's what he has to offer. He has it all but a national championship and I am sure that is he is sellng that point to come and help me do the one thing I have not done. And players obviously like what he is selling and should."
