Cauley makes a commitment

Kentucky landed its second commitment in the class of 2012 when Willie Cauley chose to play for the Wildcats.

According to multiple sources Kentucky coach John Calipari has received a commitment from Olathe (Kans.) Northwest center Willie Cauley.

Cauley at 6-11 displays the type of athleticism that Calipari likes in his bigs. An example that is indicative of Cauley's athleticism is his play on the football field this fall. Cauley is one of the top wide receivers in Kansas, and has received interest from BCS schools as a wide receiver.

Cauley's evaluation states that, "Cauley's defense is well ahead of his offense. Cauley is a dynamic shot blocker who can control the glass with his good hands and natural feel for how to rebound. Offensively he is very raw, and doesn't have a great feel for how to score yet."

Cauley is rated 28th in the class by analysts.

Reports by Scout's Brian Snow and Evan Daniels regarding Cauley's commitment to Kentucky and evaluations of what Cauley brings to the Kentucky program can be found on his Scout profile page.

Cauley joins Archie Goodwin as a part of Kentucky's 2012 recruiting class.
